Hosted by the NOI Innovation Studio

Regenerate director Clay Gonzalez and cellist Wesley Hornpetrie led a workshop introducing the Regenerate model to students at the National Orchestra Institute as part of their "Innovation Studio.” The workshop centered around a reading of “almanac,” a regenerative sonic immersion by Clay Gonzalez.

Students learned about an alternate way to write, organize, and perform orchestra music. They engaged in listening exercises and ultimately performed a "regenerative immersion" for chamber orchestra. The regenerate model allows non-musicians to join in the orchestral performance, and in this video you'll see members of the Innovation Lab staff making sounds along side the orchestral musicians.
